What We Actually Do
RenoHouse is a Toronto renovation and construction company. We self-perform standard renovation work — drywall, painting, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, decks, finish carpentry — and we coordinate the regulated trades that require specialty licenses we don’t hold in-house.
What sets us apart in the Toronto market: we tell homeowners up front which parts of their project we self-perform and which parts we coordinate with licensed specialists. No vague claims, no surprise sub-trade markups mid-project, no pretending we’re an engineering firm or an asbestos abatement company when we’re not.

RenoHouse is licensed and insured to operate as a renovation contractor in the Greater Toronto Area. Specific specialty work is performed by our coordinated partners under their own licensure.

What We Don’t Do (Honest Scope)
Most contractors won’t tell you what they outsource until you’re on the phone with their sub-trade. We’d rather you know up front:
- Real estate listing — we coordinate pre-listing renovations but do NOT list homes. Refer-only to realtor partners (Bosley, Sotheby’s, Royal LePage Signature, Chestnut Park, Re/Max Realtron).
- Mortgage or financing — we don’t broker financing. Refer-only for laneway mortgages (Equitable Bank), CMHC MLI Select, HELOC products.
- Tax advice — MHRTC, capital gains, principal residence rules — consult a CPA. We provide construction; not tax planning.
- Architectural design (in-house) — for ARUs, dormers, additions, and major structural work, we partner with named OAA architects and BCIN designers.
- Engineering stamps — load-bearing wall removal, underpinning, and structural design require PEng partnership; we coordinate, not stamp.
- Asbestos removal in-house — Type 1, 2, and 3 abatement is performed by HCRA-licensed firms we coordinate.
- Tarion enrolment by default — only confirmed at proposal stage when project scope requires it (new-build laneway or multiplex new construction).
