Specialty Water Filtration (PFAS, Arsenic, Fluoride, UV) in Stouffville

Activated alumina — dedicated single-stage cartridge, 90%+ fluoride removal, requires periodic media regeneration with food-grade acid (we handle on annual service). Standard activated carbon does NOT remove fluoride — be skeptical of any pitcher / fridge filter claiming fluoride reduction without naming the technology. Stouffville fluoridates at 0.6 mg/L; York Region does not.

Pediatricians at SickKids and broader Stouffville practice often recommend RO during pregnancy and infant formula years, then less critical after 24 months.
