Heat pumps deliver air at 38-43°C; radiators emit heat based on water temp 50-80°C. Air-to-water heat pumps (Lambda, Mitsubishi, NIBE) DO exist for radiator retrofits but cost $25K-$45K+ installed and need radiator replacement with low-temp emitters. For most radiator homes, condensing boiler is still the right answer in 2026 — heat pump retrofit becomes economic when fuel prices double from current. We model both at the consultation.
