Steel Entry Door & Sidelight Installation in Ajax

Replaced a 25-year-old wooden front door with a modern insulated steel entry door with sidelights and new lockset, dramatically improving curb appeal and security.

Challenge

The original wooden door was warped, had visible gaps around the frame letting in cold air, and the deadbolt was misaligned making it difficult to lock. The homeowner wanted improved security and a modern look.

Solution

Removed the old door and frame assembly, installed a new pre-hung insulated steel door with two sidelights and a multi-point locking system. Added a Schlage smart deadbolt, weatherstripping, and a new aluminum threshold with thermal break. Finished with paintable PVC brickmould on the exterior.

Result

A stunning new entrance that transformed the home's curb appeal. The draft at the front door is completely gone, and the smart lock allows keyless entry for the family.
