Challenge
The homeowner wanted a seamless, large-format tile look with minimal grout lines in the shower, which required precise waterproofing and perfectly level substrate on both walls and floor.
Solution
Applied Schluter Kerdi waterproofing membrane on all wet area walls and floor, installed a Schluter linear drain, laid 24x48 inch rectified porcelain tiles with 1/16" grout lines using a large-format tile installation system. Installed Ditra-Heat electric floor heating under the bathroom floor tiles.
Result
A stunning, spa-quality ensuite with virtually seamless tile walls in the shower and toasty heated floors. Zero leaks confirmed with a 24-hour flood test before tiling.
