Challenge

Working with heavy 24x48 porcelain tiles on a heated subfloor presented a challenge, requiring meticulous leveling and adherence to curing times to prevent tile lippage and ensure optimal heat transfer. Maintaining minimal grout lines across a large area demanded extreme precision.

Solution

We utilized a Schluter DITRA-HEAT system for the heated subfloor and decoupling membrane, crucial for managing thermal expansion and preventing cracks. Tiles were set with LATICRETE 254 Platinum thinset, known for its superior bond strength and non-sag properties, ensuring perfect leveling with Raimondi tile leveling clips.

Result

The project delivered a luxurious, durable floor that significantly enhanced the aesthetic and comfort of the living space.
